Tomorrow, February 7th, is spring and class picture day at Northside! Students received an order form for pictures. Wear your best smile and enjoy the spring-like weather outside!!
Put a heart on February 13 and join us at Northside for Love is in the Air! You and your family are invited to the Northside Cafeteria for a Heart Hunt. It is a come and go event from 4:30-6:00. We will have games, pizza, photo fun and you can visit the Book Fair!
The Book Fair is coming!! February 10th-13th. Parent Night will be Thursday, February 13th, 4:30-6:00 pm.
Reminder! No school Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students return Tuesday, January 21st.
Northside will have their fall parties this Friday, November 22nd. Thanksgiving Break is November 25th-29th. Students return to class Monday, December 2nd.
Northside will host Muffins with Military Monday, November 11th at 7:30 AM. Family members who served in the military are welcome to join their student for muffins in the Northside Cafeteria.
Henderson ISD is committed to meeting students where they are and providing the support they need to succeed. As part of this commitment, Dr. Christopher Chambers announced to his staff this afternoon that he will be moving from his role as principal at Northside Intermediate to join the team at our District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) and P.R.I.D.E. Academy. In this new role, Dr. Chambers will work under Principal Holly Perry, focusing on his passion for one-on-one mentoring and guiding students as they overcome challenges.
In the meantime, Assistant Superintendent Dea Henry will step in as interim principal at Northside Intermediate. With her extensive experience and dedication, Ms. Henry will provide steady leadership and continuity for the school community.
We appreciate Dr. Chambers’ ongoing dedication to our students and the entire Henderson ISD community, and we look forward to the positive impact he will bring to DAEP and P.R.I.D.E. Academy. Our commitment remains to provide education support for every child in the district.

Reminder!! Next week is Book Fair week at Northside! Parents and grandparents are welcome to come eat lunch with your student and shop at the book fair. We are trying to spread lunch visitors out so it doesn't get too crowded, but if you are unable to come on your assigned day pick another day that works!

Welcome back!! Here is a quick reminder about Northside drop off and pick up:
Drop off starts at 7:10 AM - Gates open at 7:10 and close at 7:40
Pick up begins at 3:20 - Gates close at 3:40, after 3:40 you must come inside to pick up your student
4th grade students - drop off and pick up at the back of the school
5th grade students - drop off and pick up by the 5th grade hallway
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A LEFT TURN INTO THE PICKUP LINES FROM VAN BUREN IN ORDER TO KEEP TRAFFIC FLOWING FOR THE SCHOOL BUSES
Reminder!! Cell phone usage within school zones is prohibited (unless with a hands free device) under Section 545.425 of the Texas Transportation Code. Campus SROs will issue written warnings for the first offense. Citations will be issued for subsequent offenses. Let's keep our children safe!

Football fans, mark your calendars! Season ticket holders are invited to renew their tickets for the upcoming season starting July 1, 2024. Renewals will be open throughout the entire month of July.
Current season ticket holders will receive detailed renewal instructions via email by the end of June 2024. The email will outline the simple steps to ensure a seamless renewal process. If you prefer to purchase tickets in person, you can come to the Student Activity Center on the High School Campus from July 22nd to July 26th between 8 am and 3 pm.
If you are NOT a current ticket holder, you will have the opportunity to pick out your tickets beginning August 8, 2024.
