Reminder: Friday, April 18th is Good Friday. No school for staff and students.
Reminder: 5th grade will have their science STAAR test Tuesday, April 15th. Help them be successful by making sure they get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast! 4th grade will have a field trip on April 15th. They will be back on campus in time for lunch. We will have a closed campus for lunches on STAAR testing days.
Our first STAAR testing date is tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8th! 4th and 5th grade students will take their STAAR Reading test. Help set your student up for success by making sure they get a good night's sleep and eat breakfast. We know they are ready to show us all they have learned this year!!
Current 5th grade parents: Join us for Parent Learning Walks at Henderson Middle School next WEDNESDAY! Meet teachers and get a glimpse into your student's future classes.
Tomorrow, February 7th, is spring and class picture day at Northside! Students received an order form for pictures. Wear your best smile and enjoy the spring-like weather outside!!
Put a heart on February 13 and join us at Northside for Love is in the Air! You and your family are invited to the Northside Cafeteria for a Heart Hunt. It is a come and go event from 4:30-6:00. We will have games, pizza, photo fun and you can visit the Book Fair!
The Book Fair is coming!! February 10th-13th. Parent Night will be Thursday, February 13th, 4:30-6:00 pm.
Reminder! No school Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students return Tuesday, January 21st.
Northside will have their fall parties this Friday, November 22nd. Thanksgiving Break is November 25th-29th. Students return to class Monday, December 2nd.
Northside will host Muffins with Military Monday, November 11th at 7:30 AM. Family members who served in the military are welcome to join their student for muffins in the Northside Cafeteria.
Henderson ISD is committed to meeting students where they are and providing the support they need to succeed. As part of this commitment, Dr. Christopher Chambers announced to his staff this afternoon that he will be moving from his role as principal at Northside Intermediate to join the team at our District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) and P.R.I.D.E. Academy. In this new role, Dr. Chambers will work under Principal Holly Perry, focusing on his passion for one-on-one mentoring and guiding students as they overcome challenges.
In the meantime, Assistant Superintendent Dea Henry will step in as interim principal at Northside Intermediate. With her extensive experience and dedication, Ms. Henry will provide steady leadership and continuity for the school community.
We appreciate Dr. Chambers’ ongoing dedication to our students and the entire Henderson ISD community, and we look forward to the positive impact he will bring to DAEP and P.R.I.D.E. Academy. Our commitment remains to provide education support for every child in the district.

Reminder!! Next week is Book Fair week at Northside! Parents and grandparents are welcome to come eat lunch with your student and shop at the book fair. We are trying to spread lunch visitors out so it doesn't get too crowded, but if you are unable to come on your assigned day pick another day that works!
