My name is Dea Henry. I graduated high school in Stanley, Louisiana and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University. I began my teaching career in 1992 at Center High School. I have taught a variety of subjects at both the elementary and secondary levels, including English, reading, speech, debate, and sociology. I also taught in Livingston ISD before my husband Kerry was transferred to Henderson in 2001. At that time, we moved to Henderson along with our three children Bart, Nik, and Kenzy, and I began teaching English II, debate, and coaching the mock trial team at Henderson High School. I completed a Master’s degree in Educational Administration in 2009, and I am currently serving as principal at Northside Intermediate School. I love my job and enjoy working with the wonderful students and staff at Northside.
